In 1973 I too like Paul Rau played my first church event, midnight mass(catholic)Our Lady Of Lourdes I sang Silent Night. I moved that next year to another parish and met my first musical writing partner, Tom Fillou, we played Sweet,Queen, Thin Lizzy, Scorpions, UFO, AC/DC records and listened intently especially the deep fades. We spent every waking hour preparing to be great at the only thing Tom and I had ever loved,Rock & Roll!. We had a very high standard and a very low threshold for posers.

By 1977 when I graduated Jr. High, Tom had moved on to another school but we started my first band Pearl White, Tom, to this day still the most influential guitarist I have ever worked with, and a good friend Dave Christoffersen (bass) spent the next few summers tearing up Chicago, northern Illinois and Wisconsin, highly acclaimed in the local trades for doing what others would not, all original material no covers ever!

That next year I discovered the Clash and rebellion and even that you can't let your best of friends hold you back,so Dave and I had to part company with Tom and grow up fast and move forward.
We started SKYLYNE in 1979 with Andy Boubel,Chris”Bean” Weng,and Larry Greco but after
playing all original songs(we were the only ones doing it that way). We really got good at it.

In 1983 we dumped Larry (no Heart & all Cocaine) and made a great find and next great writing partner in Paul Rau (keyboards). He was in the band all of twenty minutes and we started entering and winning some major original writing band contests (WLUP the LOOP/Miller High Life/ Rock to Riches,we beat out 320 other bands from all over the Midwest,WCKG Climb On Up, the Roselle Midwest Music Contest) and we knew we were doing something very right. We made another great discovery that would fuel my fire for original writing even more, her name Inetta Visor. God sent down a thunder bolt and her voice was that for me, to this day , still a dear friend and if I said it once I've said it a thousand times, she helped me become the fearless singer I am today. Along the way we met and worked with a cat by the name of Tom Washington,he wrote and arranged horns for Earth,Wind & Fire as well as Phil Collins. Though we added horns successfully to our material,ultimately it ended the band.

In 1985, due to the philosophical differences issue Skylyne split up, mostly the other guys involved
didn't feel horns were right for what we were doing...

From 1985 to 1991, I bounced around the voice over world and the white collar work force. (FUCK ME). During this period I met a musical fellow by the name of Lawren Markle, and were about to change each others lives profoundly forever. More later......

In 1991, I teamed up again with the fabulous Inetta Visor, and started a rocking blues ensemble called Tainted Blue. Though highly acclaimed and very sucessful the Blues were never where my head was at.

In 1992, I left Tainted Blue and started a band called ART OF CRIME, with friend and next great writing partner Lawren Markle. Short lived for sure I learned one thing I like how Lawren got after it.

So in the fall of 1993, Lawren and I along with writer/arranger Doug Lovato started WCN!
And that has been my main love in life ever since. It is by nature a family band.
Lee Taylor, Paul Rau, Christina Pawlowski, Dan Kalnes, Deen Anbar, Joe Clark, Rob Collazo,
Greg Ward, Jake Ramseyer, Mark Heibert...I have come to love them all very much, learn from them, mentor to them, want the best for them and expect the best from them. Music,it is who I am and what I am supposed to be.........enjoy the soulful ride GOD BLESS!!!
